Neil Nazareth and Jason Landry represent the operator of the Faubourg Brewery in a lawsuit brought for property damage, business interruption losses and loss of revenue and profits sustained as a result of a fire.
The Faubourg Brewery operator is seeking in excess of $1.5 million dollars plus statutory damages, attorney's fees, and costs for the insurers' bad faith claims handling practices.
The Faubourg Brewery operator alleges that certain contractors' roofing work caused fire to the building, which prevented the operations of the Brewery for four weeks and resulted in losses include the lost business income and revenue of the Brewery. The Faubourg Brewery operator is also pursuing bad faith claims against the insurers for their failure to adjust the claim fairly and in good faith. The Plaintiff is seeking full coverage for losses sustained plus statutory damages, attorney's fees, and costs for the insurers' bad faith claims handling practices. The lawsuit is pending in Civil District Court in New Orleans.
